I, like you, got myself a high-energy dog…And I wanted to understand what made her tick.
How to give her the best life possible. So I went all in.
I spent hours studying dog behaviour, Not just so I could have a dream dog…
But so I could be a dream owner for her.
I started working in a shelter and saw the same pattern over and over again.
So many Staffies, Staffy mix and Bully breeds.
Good dogs. Friendly, driven, full of life.
Not abused.
Not mistreated.
Just… misunderstood.
Dogs with so much potential Sitting there because their owners didn’t have the right guidance.
Too much energy.
Too hard to handle.
“Not listening.”
And eventually… too much.
It made me sad. It made me frustrated. But more than anything It made me realise I could be part of the solution.
Because I’ve been on the other side too, Handling high-energy dogs that felt impossible to switch off.
Dogs that pulled, reacted, ignored everything you said…
And owners who were one step away from giving up.
What I realised is this:
It’s not that people don’t care. It’s that no one has shown them how to channel their dog’s energy properly.
That’s where everything changed for me. I became obsessed with learning how dogs actually think, move, and communicate.
Not just “sit” and “stay,” but how to create calm, focused, well-balanced dogs in real life.
Now, I work with the kinds of dogs I used to see in the shelter, High drive, reactive, “too much” dogs…And turn that chaos into control. Not by shutting them down, But by giving them an outlet, structure, and clarity.
Because your dog isn’t the problem. They just need direction.
